The detachable one-line ultrasonic flaw detector UDS-RDM-12 is intended for revealing and registration of signals from flaws in the railway tracks sections, where the testing of both railway lines is difficult or dangerous (in tunnels, on bridges, close to passenger platforms), in the rail switches, etc.
The possibility to display on screen along with the mnenonic circuit either A-type scan of the activated channel or B-type scan of all channels in the real-time mode in the process of continuous testing.
Flaw detector’s distinctive feature is the usage of an improved sounding circuit in the continuous testing mode, including the 14-channel serial-parallel system of excitation and reception of the ultrasonic oscillations. It ensures the revealing of differently orientated flaws during one passage along the tested railway section and check the acoustic contact presence in each channel.
A special coordinate device is provided for a more precise testing using a manual piezoelectric transducer. It allows to get the testing protocol in the form of projection on the surface of PT scanning as a defectogram of the tested rail portion. It also gives the possibility to investigate the protocol using PC.
The flaw detector has an integrated system of global positioning GLONASS/ GPS for defining the coordinates of the flaw detectors position in the process of testing. The data transmission is possible by ever}’ mobile operator, using GPRS system, integrated in the device.
